In the Screw Cooler zone of the soda industry, a need arose for an expansion joint capable of withstanding high temperatures and movements. Considering the harsh operating conditions and precise mobility requirements, a custom-designed steel-framed fabric expansion joint was developed.

Manufactured entirely from AISI 310S (1.4851) grade stainless steel, this expansion joint is resistant to operating temperatures of 900°C. The expansion joint has a capacity of 80 mm compression, 30 mm extension, and ±15 mm lateral movement. Thanks to these features, it ensures the safe management of thermal expansion and mechanical movements in the Screw Cooler zone.
The ArminTec model multi-layered fabric expansion joint on it guarantees long-lasting performance. The robust dome-shaped woven wire mesh located in the inner layer of ArminTec ensures that the expansion joint fabric maintains its form during movement. In this way, even when subjected to axial compression/extension and lateral movement, the expansion joint fabric remains isolated from the heat and is protected against thermal fatigue. This innovative design enables the expansion joint to operate reliably even under severe temperature conditions.
